Wedding Guest Book Photo Album
What info. should we put on our personal wedding website?
I’m making a wedding website & I feel like it needs more info. We finished “our story” with info about us, how we met the engagement, etc. As far as the ceremony & reception pages I have the address, time, link to directions & parking.
There are also pages for guest info (hotels, things to do in the area) our bridal party members, photo album, registry, honeymoon & guest book. Can you think of anything else we need to include?
Type of ceremony & duration? Attire (semi-formal)? Do we mention the open bar? What we’re serving for dinner (were doing a buffet, not served)? What would you like to know about a wedding you are attending? What would be considered poor taste?
Thank you for the advice, non of our friends have done wedding websites so we’re so lost!!!
And what order would you recommend the pages go? These are the potential pages, what makes the most sense? Ceremony, Wedding Party, Photo Album, Reception, Registry, Guest Information, Honeymoon, Guest Book Thanks!
On our “guest information” tab, we put a section on “Guests with Allergies” and wrote, “Please inform us if you have any food allergies so that we are able to prepare a meal catered to your needs. Thank you, kindly.”
It is not necessary to feature the menu or beverage options. When it comes to the reception, think of yourself as a host hosting a big party— not a restaurant advertising a meal to lure people in. There’s just no need– the guests will find out info soon enough when they attend your wedding. Besides, publishing the full menu beforehand might stir up talk among picky eaters or people who like to complain about everything, or people who love to suggest additional food items you should feature. It’s best to let people be pleasantly surprised at your menu.
