Will I be violating copyright laws if I put a song in a video?
I’m starting a video making service. It’s a family photo album slideshow thing. I want to add background music but I’m going to be making these videos for other people and they pay me to do it. Would that be violating copyright laws? I’m asking the people to provide the music themselves.
the minute you put some one ELSE work in the video,
you ARE violating the copyright laws,
it doesn’t matter who supplies it
anyone that says other wise,
does not understand the words COPYRIGHT law
if you dont sell or distribute it, they will “probably?” leave you alone?
however, the minute you charge ANY money, the rules change.
they will SUE you now, since you are “selling” their work.
Again, it doesn’t matter who supplies it,
you are breaking the law, and charging for it.
Putting some silly phrase, like “no copyright intended” means NOTHING to their lawyers
Giving them “credit” means nothing either
The music belongs to the copyright owners, no one else.
