Help the Environment in Style–Eco-friendly Photo Albums by Jim Green
These days, it seems to be a near daily occurrence that the news has something to say about the changing environment, whether it’s the alarming frequency of serious hurricanes, the melting ice caps and permafrost, holes in the ozone layer, El Niño and La Niña years. Because it is such a complex issue, nobody seems to know if this is a naturally-occurring cycle we’re seeing, or if we have caused it ourselves, at least in part, because of chlorofluorocarbons, or CFCs, worldwide vehicle exhaust, and the many industrial factors as well. Whatever the cause, it’s easy to see that something is happening.
What can be done about this situation, you may ask. One person making little changes probably won’t change a lot. But, with huge numbers of people consciously doing something to help, it could turn around, or at least not get any worse. Who knows? We know that, regardless of what happens, people will continue to take photos, whether family, vacation, business, or some other category. After all, that’s been part of humanity’s experience for around 150 years now. So, if a person can, in some minute way, help the environment and get a great product in the process, that’s a very good return.
You may or may not have heard the term eco-friendly photo album up to this point. but it’s been around for some time now. These are photo albums which are handmade, and use only organic raw materials in their construction. They really can be quite stylish as well. Reason? They are crafted by master craftsmen who have been doing this sort of thing for years. Also, they have that exotic quality to them, in that many, if not all, of them are assembled outside the country. Additionally, each of these organic photo albums is unique, in that the raw materials are as individual as a person’s fingerprint, or a snowflake. So, each is a work of art in its own right.
